At Midlands we try to hold training days once a month. From simple marks to finished level blinds there are training opportunities for dogs and handlers at all levels of experience. We have training equipment and access to several pieces of property with fields and ponds to simulate most any hunt test scenario imaginable. We’re always looking for new places to train. If you have access to property and would be interested in hosting a training day please let us know.
We encourage prospective members to come out and join us for a training day to see what it’s all about. Contact any club member for dates/times of upcoming events. Because we want our club members to at the line and learning we have decided to try to have birdboys available to load wingers at our training days. In order to do that, we ask each of our participants to contribute $5 towards paying the bird boys. Depending on the number of participants, we typically try to do both a land and a water setup. Because we often train in remote areas, we will also usually have lunch available for a small donation to help cover the cost of food/supplies. Bring a folding chair for you and drinks/water for you & your dog. You need to have a crate/tie out or some means of restraining your dog when he/she is not working. Dogs of all ages/experience levels are welcome.
